So, I don't get any sleep. Ever. Unless its summer. But honestly, what middle, high, or college student does? I'm going to share some tips and tricks to help sleep happen.

I personally would rather be a vampire so I could sleep all day and do stuff at night. I just work like that. The day time scares me. The night time also scares me, but for different reasons. But that can't really happen. And its not just recent, I have always had sleeping problems, and quite honestly, I probably have insomnia or something, I think my dad has it so like it was probably passed on to me or something. So I need things to help me sleep.

So, first thing, counting. Whether it be from 100 and down, or 1 till until you zone out, it usually helps me.

Second, get a spiral notebook and dedicate it to being your “diary” or whatever you want to call it. You are probably like Kaleena, we have all tried keeping a diary before and it never actually continues. And, how does this go with resolving sleep problems? Well, right before you go to bed, write down anything and everything you are stressed or nervous about, anything that is scaring you, or just what happened that day. Anything that will help clear your head from your problems. Leave them for tomorrow. I swear it helps.

Third, stretch a little before bed. Do some yoga or something. It kinda loosens you up so you can find a comfortable spot to sleep in, and it can relieve stress.

And, obvi, get off your phone, laptop, or any electronics! It does help.

Lastly, the most extreme. Take melatonin supplements. That is what I do. You can get it from natural sources, like cherries, but these will get you sleeping. But, be careful and get 3-5 milligram things. (I don't get pills, but they dissolve in your mouth. They don't taste bad usually, I always get orange and strawberry flavored ones) If you are just starting to take them, break them in half if they are 5 mg. If you take like 10 or 25 mg ones, it can like mess you up I guess. I took 25 mg tablets one summer and even though they knocked me out, I had horrible dreams. I have been taking them for years. They don't knock you out, but when you tame one, you have to relax and lay down, ready to fall asleep and kinda count sheep or something till it kicks in and gets you sleeping.

If any sleeping problems seem big, talk to a doctor or a parent or something. Don't die on your own!
